NHS Highland seeks an experienced and dedicated registered paediatric nurse to provide exceptional care to children and young people in a community setting. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, work independently as well as within a team, and fulfill responsibilities including teaching essential care skills to families. The role may involve flexible hours and demands a full driving license.

We are seeking a registered paediatric nurse who is experienced, enthusiastic, motivated, and dedicated to working with children and young people with acute, chronic, or complex health needs in a community setting.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be capable of working independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team. The role involves delivering high-quality nursing care, teaching children and their parents or carers the skills necessary for home and school/nursery care, acting as a key worker, and leading as a professional and specialist resource. The nurse will also deputise for the team leader when required.
You will be supported by the CCN Team through line management and supervision. The role requires willingness to undertake development and educational activities as needed.
The position may require flexible working hours, including outside normal hours, depending on service needs. Currently, the CCN team operates a Monday-Friday, 8 am-5 pm schedule. The successful candidate must hold a full, valid driving licence and have access to a car.
