Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Childcare Centre Assistant to support lead educators in a busy Tembisa facility. You will help with daily routines, supervise young children, and contribute to a nurturing, child‑centred environment.

You will participate in play‑based learning, assist with feeding and rest periods, and work closely with a team of childcare professionals to promote well‑being and development for every child.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
• Experience in childcare is advantageous but not essential.
• Passion for working with children and understanding their developmental needs.
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
• Good communication skills and a patient, caring attitude.

Responsibilities

• Assist lead educators in implementing daily programs and activities for children.
• Provide direct supervision and care for children, ensuring their safety and well‑being at all times.
• Support children during mealtimes, nappy changes, and rest periods.
• Help maintain a clean, orderly, and safe classroom environment.
• Engage children in interactive play, storytelling, and other developmental activities under guidance.
