Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or related field.
• Registration with the South African Council for Social Service Professions (SACSSP).
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in child protection or a similar field.
• Knowledge of relevant legislation and social welfare policies.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage challenging caseloads effectively.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of child welfare and safety concerns.
• Develop and implement intervention plans to protect children from harm and neglect.
• Provide counseling and support services to children and their families.
• Collaborate with law enforcement, schools, and other community agencies.
• Prepare detailed reports and maintain accurate case records.
