Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Child Development Facilitator for an established early learning center in Stellenbosch. You will guide children through developmental stages, delivering tailored educational activities in a nurturing team environment.

The role focuses on supporting growth, implementing IEPs where necessary, and collaborating with teachers to ensure optimal learning experiences for every child.

Qualifications

• A relevant qualification in Child Development, Psychology, or Early Childhood Education.
• Demonstrated experience in working with children in a developmental or educational capacity.
• Strong understanding of child psychology and developmental milestones.
• Excellent observational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to design and implement child-centered activities.
• Patience, empathy, and a commitment to child welfare.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate structured learning activities and play-based experiences designed to enhance children's cognitive, social, and emotional skills.
• Monitor individual child development, identifying potential learning challenges and implementing appropriate support strategies.
• Create and maintain a safe, engaging, and stimulating learning environment.
• Communicate effectively with parents about their child's progress, developmental milestones, and any areas requiring attention.
• Assist in the development and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) where necessary.
