Key Responsibilities

Requirements

• A relevant qualification in Child and Youth Care Work, Social Auxiliary Work, or a related field is essential.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience working directly with children in a residential care setting.
• Demonstrated understanding of child development, attachment theory, and trauma-informed care.
• Proven ability to manage challenging behaviors effectively and empathetically.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for building rapport with children and colleagues.
• Proficiency in maintaining accurate and confidential records.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays, as required by the residential schedule.
• A genuine passion for child welfare and a commitment to safeguarding.
• Clear criminal record and adherence to all child protection policies.
• First Aid and CPR certification is highly desirable.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment in Kimberley.
