Keep reading! Your key job responsibilities as the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) in Johannesburg will include:

1. Responsible for the oversight, management and direction of the Group Technology function.
2. Ensuring the strategic aims of the Group are fulfilled and that the strategic vision of the Board is communicated and understood.
3. Involved in all areas of business strategy and responsible for the ongoing alignment of technical delivery and operations.
4. Consistently and frequently delivering new features that add demonstrable value for customers and respond to their needs.
5. Overall ownership of and accountability for system architecture, team processes and delivery of technical solutions.
6. Collaborating with the Senior Management team to help define and deliver on short term goals and longer-term roadmap.
7. Communicating technology strategy and their roadmap to stakeholders.
8. Structuring and managing technology teams.
9. Managing and mentoring our next generation of senior technical leaders.
10. Advising on technological options available to address business problems, providing timely advice on the feasibility.
11. Ensuring that the impact of internal tools and external features is always measurable.

Requirements for this Chief Technology Officer (CTO) job in Johannesburg:

1. At least 7-10 years' experience in a tech role, and 3+ years in senior management or leadership role.
2. Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or related field.
3. A solid track record of delivery with multiple development streams.
4. In-depth understanding of the Sports Betting industry.
5. Strong technical software development pedigree.
6. Gaming industry experience highly advantageous.
7. Successful track record of managing large technology teams.
8. Active, hands-on leader, able to both define strategy and engage others at all levels in operational delivery.
9. Passion for mentorship and developing individuals through feedback and coaching.
10. Excellent communicator, able to be the translation layer between the technology function and the senior management team, in both directions.
