The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) will be responsible for defining and executing the organization's technology strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives. This role involves leading digital transformation initiatives, developing advanced data and analytics solutions, and fostering a data-driven decision-making culture. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute the Group Technology Strategy, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
- Collaborate with global counterparts to drive synergy in technology initiatives across multiple regions.
- Identify and drive the adoption of emerging technologies to maintain the company's competitive edge.
- Lead digital transformation efforts, ensuring seamless integration of technology into business operations.
- Provide technical evaluations for potential acquisitions and partnerships.
- Represent the organization in board meetings and provide strategic guidance on technology-related matters.
- Define and implement a technology delivery process that enables efficiency and continuous improvement.
- Oversee the design, development, and deployment of innovative technology solutions.
- Drive the infrastructure roadmap, including cloud adoption strategies.
- Oversee the implementation of a comprehensive Data Strategy.
- Drive the development of data infrastructure to support strategic business objectives.

Security & Compliance
- Ensure IT and security policies comply with relevant regulations and industry standards.
- Identify policy gaps and implement measures to address security vulnerabilities.

Performance Monitoring & Budget Management
- Establish key performance metrics to assess technology impact and efficiency.
- Prepare regular reports for Exco on technology performance and progress.
- Manage the technology division's budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources.
People & Culture
- Build and lead a high-performing technology team.
- Mentor and develop direct reports, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.

Required Qualifications & Experience:
Must-Haves:
- Postgraduate degree in Computer Science or a related field (NQF Level 8).
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in technology leadership roles.
- Strong technical expertise across IT infrastructure, engineering, security, and operations.
- Proven experience leading digital transformation initiatives in a complex business environment.
- Understanding of modern data analytics, AI, and machine learning.
- Strong financial acumen in IT budgeting and resource allocation.
