Our client within the international logistics, clearing and forwarding are looking for individuals with proven experience within the sea freight sector to take on the role of Chief Operating Officer.
We are seeking an experienced Chief Operations Officer (COO) to lead and optimize the day-to-day operations of our Clearing & Forwarding and Ships Agency department. This role requires a dynamic leader with strong financial acumen, operational expertise and a deep understanding of logistics, customs, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will oversee departmental efficiency, financial performance and strategic growth while managing a team of at least 10 employees.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Degree/Diploma in Business Administration, Logistics, or a relevant field.
• Proven experience managing teams of 10+ employees.
• Strong financial management and management accounting skills.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.
• Technologically savvy with a clear understanding of ERP and general IT systems.
• Clear understanding and experience in dealing with customs regulations, shipping lines, and transport procedures.
• Basic knowledge and understanding of Ships Agency would be beneficial.
