Job description

Our client is a high-growth, mid-sized private company that markets a combined product and service offering to a large and largely untapped private consumer market. We are looking for an experienced Chief Operating Officer who is dynamic and a self-starter, and who can play a leading role in driving this exciting business to achieve its potential. The role is based in Pretoria, Gauteng.

You will be responsible for overseeing operations, driving operational effectiveness and implementing the Company’s strategic goals. You will also be involved in some sales and marketing aspects of the business, and will strongly support and direct the strategic direction of this scaling business. You will have a strong systems improvement orientation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing the primary operational functions across the business, including Customer service, Customer experience, IT, Projects, Marketing, Service Providers & agents
• Proposing and then implementing scalable systems and processes to enable the continued rapid growth of the business
• Strongly involved in setting the selling and marketing strategy, and execution thereof

Qualifications and Experience:

• Applicable tertiary qualification (Degree level or higher)
• High-level operations, or General Management experience
• Proven high-level inclusive leadership qualities
• Strongly customer-focused, with high teamwork qualities

Salary:

• R1,300,000 - R1,600,000 fixed CTC per annum, with a strong incentive plan, and possible share options.
