The Water Research Commission (WRC) is seeking a Head of Supply Chain Management to provide strategic, operational and governance leadership across the full SCM value chain. The successful candidate will join the Finance Branch and report to the Chief Financial Officer, driving accountability and continuous improvement.

Based in Pretoria, the role requires extensive SCM experience, strong knowledge of PFMA and related procurement regulations, and the ability to lead a team towards clean-audit

Qualificações

• Post graduate Degree or Honours Degree in SCM/Logistics/ Purchasing/Procurement/ Finance/ Public Management, or related field (NQF 8).
• Master's degree or equivalent (NQF 9) qualification in Supply Chain, Finance, or Business Administration will be an added advantage. Professional registration with Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPC) or equivalent is required.
• A minimum of eight (8) years' relevant Supply Chain Management experience, with at least five (5) years' experience at a middle management level is required.
• Proven knowledge of PFMA, PPPFA/Public Procurement Act, Treasury Regulations, SCM Instruction Notes, and Preferential Procurement Regulations, Public Private Partnership (PPP), Tender related tools are required.

Responsabilidades

• Provide strategic leadership across the full supply chain value chain including demand planning and acquisition management.
• Ensure compliance with PFMA, Treasury Regulations, PPPFA and BBBEE; strengthen governance and prevent irregular expenditure.
