Placements24 is seeking a strategic Chief Mine Planner to lead mine planning operations in Rustenburg. You will oversee a team of planners, collaborating with geology, engineering and operations to translate resource models into executable mining strategies.

You will develop long- and short-term mine plans, optimize sequences and schedules, conduct feasibility studies, and supervise design, layout and economic analysis to maximize resource recovery, safety and cost efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or related discipline.
• 10+ years in mine planning and design with at least 3 years in leadership.
• Proven expertise in Deswik, Vulcan and Surpac.
• Strong knowledge of open pit and underground mining methods.
• Experience in mining economics, project management and financial analysis.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a strategic and experienced Chief Mine Planner to lead mine planning operations in Rustenburg . This senior role is responsible for developing, implementing, and optimizing long-term and short-term mine plans that maximize resource recovery and ensure operational efficiency and safety. This is a pivotal leadership position within a major mining operation, demanding a forward-thinking approach and a deep understanding of mining economics and execution.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements
