A leading financial services organisation providing stockbroking and investment management services is seeking a Chief Investment Officer to lead their investment team in Johannesburg.

As a member of the leadership team at this diverse and thriving company, the primary objective of this position will be to oversee the company's portfolio of investments, manage a team of financial analysts, and work closely with the CEO to set the company's overall investment strategy.

The Chief Investment Officer position requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in investment management and financial strategy. This role offers the chance to work in a dynamic environment where your expertise will have a direct impact on the company's success.

Key qualifications and experience required for the Chief Investment Officer:

• Postgraduate Degree in Finance, Investments, Actuarial Sciences or similar
• Fully qualified CFA
• 10 – 15 years’ experience within the investment sector
• Current or prior experience within a securities/stockbroking business will be highly preferred
• Proven leadership experience
• Strong understanding of financial markets, investment strategies and equity research
• Systems knowledge: Bloomberg, FactSet, EquitiesRT (to name a few)
