Job description

We are recruiting for a Chief Information Officer role, for a 6-month's contract.

The incumbent will be tasked with overseeing the Information and Communications Technology Operations.Key responsibilities :

Develop a strategic vision for the organization's Information and Communication Technology department, aligned to the organization's Strategic objectives and articulate how IT can support and enable the organization's current and future state.

Establish and maintain the technology architecture and technology choices that power the organisation ensuring that the systems are available and reliable by, among other things, reviewing and finalising the current Enterprise Architecture and developing the ICT Turnaround Strategy based on the Enterprise Architecture.

Provide guidance to the Executive Committee on how to use existing and emerging technologies to achieve cost-effective, reliable, and efficient service delivery in a way that aligns with the available financial and human capital management resources.

Do an analysis of the current ICT infrastructure and human resource capabilities and recommend the required infrastructure, skills and experience to deliver on the organization strategic objectives.

The As Is and To Be state of organization ICT with the implementation plan.

Provide strategic leadership for the procurement and installation of new technology, e.g., the High-Performance Computing system, and identify new technologies and solutions that can improve the organization performance.

Do an analysis of the current ICT security measures in place and provide guidance regarding the gaps in complying with relevant regulations and industry standards and action plans required to protect the organization digital assets, networks and systems from cyber threats.

Overseeing contracts with IT vendors and service providers.

Required qualifications and technical experience / skills :

A Master's Degree in IT Management, Computer Science, or a related field.

A minimum of 10 (ten) years' experience as CIO, IT Director with proven experience in / strong understanding of :

IT infrastructure and applications,

Cybersecurity,

Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity

Data management and data protection practices.

Cloud computing, data analytics, SaaS solutions, etc.
