Provide Executive Leadership for the development and delivery of the Insure IT Strategy. The CIO directs the planning and implementation of enterprise IT systems to deliver on the BU Strategy, within Hollard Group IT Architecture. This individual is responsible for all aspects of Insure's information technology and systems, as well as how these systems support and integrate with required partner / broker systems and networks.
As an Exco role, the CIO will play a critical role in both influencing and informing Insure's strategic direction. The CIO Insure is also expected to influence Hollard Group IT Architecture and infrastructure.
Role Objectives
- Provide Executive Leadership for the development and delivery of the Insure IT Strategy.
- Direct the planning and implementation of enterprise IT systems to deliver on the BU Strategy, within Hollard Group IT Architecture.
- Responsible for all aspects of Insure's information technology and systems, including support and integration with partner/broker systems and networks.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide the strategic and operational framework for the design, development, and delivery of BU information and technology systems.
- Understand the relationship between operational requirements, business strategy, and customer (broker) needs.
- Lead IT strategic and operational initiatives to achieve business aims.
- Develop and maintain an IT organizational structure supporting current needs and future growth.
- Identify opportunities for cost-effective investment in IT systems and resources.
- Provide strategic insight on business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for IT initiatives.
- Coordinate stakeholder consultations to define systems and requirements for new technology implementations.
- Lead strategic technology planning to meet business objectives.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Assess, communicate, and mitigate risks related to operations and technology activities.
- Develop and execute enterprise-wide IT disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
- Review hardware and software acquisition and maintenance contracts, pursuing economies of scale.
- Balance IT capabilities with operational costs and market demand for optimal value.
- Manage dependencies and service levels with Hollard Group IT.
