The Chief Information Officer (CIO) is responsible for leading the organization's information technology strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives to enhance member experiences, drive innovation, and maintain compliance with regulatory requirements. The CIO will oversee the development and implementation of secure, scalable, and efficient IT systems that support PPSHA’s strategy.
This role is pivotal in driving PPSHA’s commitment to innovation and excellence in healthcare services through strategic technology leadership.
Requirements
Education And Experience
Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field (essential)
Postgraduate diploma/ degree or healthcare-specific qualification (advantageous)
10+ years of IT leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a senior executive role within the healthcare funding, insurance or financial sector
Experience of working with innovators, designers and developers to realize the strategic vision of the company.
Excellent understanding of current and emerging technologies.
Knowledge And Skills
Strong understanding of healthcare operations and regulatory requirements.
Proven track record of leading complex IT projects and digital transformation initiatives.
Expertise in enterprise systems used by medical schemes and administrators (e.g., administration platforms, CRM, workflow automation)
Knowledge of healthcare data standards (e.g., ICD-10, PMB, CPT)
Strong financial and commercial acumen
Excellent stakeholder engagement and governance reporting capabilities
