Overview

Are you a strategic financial leader with deep experience in the property sector and a passion for driving growth?

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a visionary Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join a dynamic property funds management business. This role offers the chance to shape financial strategy, influence executive decision-making, and lead high-impact initiatives that will drive long-term value and scalability.

Working closely with executive leadership, the CFO will be instrumental in overseeing the financial health of both the fund and its management company, while contributing directly to strategic development, investor relations, and digital transformation.

Responsibilities
  • Partner with leadership to develop and implement long-term strategic plans
  • Identify value-enhancing opportunities across financial and property portfolios
  • Lead all finance and accounting functions, ensuring compliance and strong governance
  • Act as Financial Director across all entities and serve on key committees
  • Oversee procurement, treasury, company secretarial, and tax functions
  • Drive automation, systems improvement, and data-driven decision-making
  • Build and develop a high-performing finance team
  • Support acquisitions, restructures, and investor-ready financial modelling
Qualifications
  • Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)) qualification is essential
  • Minimum 15 years’ post-articles experience, with at least 10 in senior financial leadership
  • 7+ years of experience within the property sector
  • Proven track record in financial strategy, governance, and stakeholder engagement
  • Experience in capital markets or investor relations
  • Strong understanding of fund structures, financial modelling, and compliance
  • Experience in a high-growth or startup environment is advantageous
