Chief Financial Officer

Our client is a leading manufacturer in the plastics industry, located in Cape Town.

Specialties include cleaning, brushwork, plastic moulding, homeware, and kitchenware.

Customers are the major retailers, wholesales, and general trade nationally.

They are currently seeking a Chief Operating Officer.

Reporting to the CEO, he / she will be responsible for the strategic leadership of procurement, manufacturing, quality, safety, risk management, logistics, and distribution functions of the organisation.

Key Requirements

1. B.Eng in Engineering or Operations Management, Supply Chain Management
2. MBA or equivalent would be an advantage
3. 10 years+ experience in manufacturing operations management including all aspects mentioned above
4. 5 years experience in a similar role at a similar size operation (R1bn turnover, staff)

Key Responsibilities

1. Overall cost effectiveness, efficiency, and contribution to sustained profitability
2. Strategic planning and execution
3. Budgeting and financial oversight
4. Overseeing the key functions cited above
5. Capex identification, evaluation, and proposals
