Job description

A fast-growing sports predictions company is currently seeking a dynamic Chief Financial Officer to join their team in Johannesburg. This role offers the opportunity to lead financial operations, drive growth, and shape the company's financial strategy.

As the CFO, you report directly to the CEO, overseeing accounting, payroll, financial planning, and capital raising while optimizing processes in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead all finance and accounting operations, including payroll, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
  2. Oversee and optimize affiliate payment structures and financial workflows for a high-growth online business.
  3. Drive business planning and capital-raising initiatives.
  4. Ensure compliance with financial regulations and tax requirements.
  5. Collaborate with leadership to influence key financial decisions and fuel company growth.
Qualifications and Experience:
  1. Qualified CA(SA), CGMA or AGA (SA).
  2. 7 years of financial management experience, preferably in the education or non-profit sector.
  3. Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards, tax regulations, and IFRS compliance.
  4. Proven leadership, team management, and effective stakeholder communication skills.
  5. Proficiency in Excel; ERP experience is beneficial.
  6. Detail-oriented and analytical with strong report-writing abilities.

Salary: R1 - R2 / year CTC depending on the candidate's experience
