Job description

Sanlam Developing Markets (SDM), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sanlam Life Limited, is one of the top financial services providers in the South African entry-level and emerging middle market.

We aim to understand the unique requirements of clients and offer a wide range of simple and affordable financial solutions that cover needs such as funeral insurance, savings for education, life cover, and personal accident plans. We are looking for a dynamic and visionary Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the overall financial function in the cluster.

The CFO will own and direct Sanlam Retail Mass' financial strategy and is responsible for translating it into financial plans and budgets.

The incumbent will have full oversight of all cluster financial activities, including financial accounting, management accounting (including budgets and forecasts), financial reporting, and financial performance enhancement.

The CFO will liaise with, and take overall Sanlam Retail Mass responsibility, functions elsewhere in the Sanlam Group responsible for finance, risk management, internal audit, and mergers and acquisitions.

  7. Excellent analytical skills and logical reasoning required.
Qualifications and Experience
  1. CA qualification or FASSA.
  2. Minimum 10 years of finance experience in a senior financial role.
