Job description

The RoleAs CFO, you will oversee all financial aspects of multiple entities across Africa, acting as a strategic business partner to the leadership team.

You will provide critical insight and governance, ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory frameworks, and contribute meaningfully to the groups growth and performance objectives.Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & StrategyLead and mentor a high-performing regional finance teamPartner with CEOs and senior leadership to drive commercial growthContribute to the development and execution of financial and operational strategiesDeliver insights to support strategic planning and decision-makingEnsure alignment with Group CFO and corporate objectivesFinancial Reporting & PlanningOwn all internal and external reporting processes, including divisional KPI reportingManage the regional FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, and business planning functionsPresent financial performance to stakeholders including the CEO, Group CFO, investors, and the BoardGovernance & ComplianceServe as Company Director and Board MemberEnsure full compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements across the regionLead employment equity, social and ethics, BEE, provident fund representation, CIPC filings, and tax complianceEngage external auditors and oversee the preparation of Annual Financial StatementsMaintain strong internal controls and risk managementOperational FinanceOversee cash management, CAPEX, and treasury functions across African operationsDrive financial system upgrades, including ERP implementationSafeguard financial operations against fraud and inefficiencyFoster a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and commercial acumenKey RequirementsQualified Accountant (CA or equivalent), or qualified by extensive experienceProven experience in a CFO or senior finance leadership role, preferably in a PE-backed environmentStrong knowledge of local African financial legislation and compliance standardsDemonstrated success in stakeholder engagement, including investors and external partnersCommercially astute with a history of driving strategic value and business transformationA proactive, hands-on leader with a collaborative and results-driven approachThis is a rare opportunity to influence financial strategy at the highest level within a globally respected business.
