Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Chief Financial Officer at AIMS-DIGITAL, based in Johannesburg with some remote work flexibility.

The CFO will be responsible for financial planning, preparing financial statements, overseeing finance operations, analyzing financial data, and producing reports.

Reports to: Managing Director

The CFO is a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for the company's overall financial health and strategic direction.

Based in Sandton, the CFO will drive sustainable growth, ensure financial stability, and provide insights for decision-making.

This role requires strategic thinking, strong financial management skills, leadership, and a good understanding of the digital marketing landscape in South Africa.

Responsibilities

1. Strategic Financial Leadership & Planning: Partner with the CEO to align financial goals with business strategy; develop financial models and forecasts; monitor market trends; manage investor relations.
2. Financial Operations & Management: Manage cash flow, budgeting, cost control, profitability analysis, procurement, and vendor relationships.
3. Financial Reporting & Analysis: Ensure timely and accurate financial statements; develop management reports; track KPIs.
4. Compliance, Risk Management & Governance: Ensure compliance with South African regulations; design internal controls; manage risks; uphold corporate governance standards.
5. Leadership & Team Development: Lead and mentor the finance team; collaborate with other departments to promote financial accountability.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s in Finance, Accounting, or related; MBA or Master’s preferred.
• Professional accounting designation (CA(SA), CIMA, or equivalent).
• Proven senior financial leadership experience, ideally in digital marketing, tech, or professional services.
• Strong knowledge of South African financial laws and standards.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and analytical skills.
