Chief Financial Officer

Malander is seeking a mature and highly experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for a 6-month contract based in New York, USA. The ideal candidate will provide strategic financial leadership, oversee financial operations, and support key business decisions. Immediate availability is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement financial strategies to support business objectives.
• Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
• Ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with relevant regulations.
• Manage cash flow, working capital, and financial risk.
• Provide strategic advice to the executive team and stakeholders.
• Lead and mentor the finance team to achieve organizational goals.
• Liaise with auditors, regulatory bodies, and external partners.
• Support strategic initiatives, mergers, acquisitions, and other key projects.

Qualifications and Experience:

• CA (SA);
• Proven experience in a senior financial leadership role, ideally at the CFO level;
• Investec experience is advantageous;
• Strong understanding of financial regulations, compliance, and risk management;
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills;
• Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines;
• Immediate availability is required;
• Willingness to be based in New York for the duration of the contract.
