Job Opportunity: Chief Financial Officer

A well-established business is seeking to appoint a Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

The CFO is expected to participate in the development and implementation of the entity’s strategy, as well as develop and promote a system of good financial management.

Qualifications & Experience

1. Post BCom in Accounting or equivalent (minimum).
2. CA (SA) Honours in Accounting or financial management (advantageous).
3. 10 years’ experience at senior management level, including at least 5 years as CFO within the Public Sector.
4. Knowledge of financial and management accounting and tax.
5. Knowledge of Supply Chain Management framework.
6. Knowledge of PFMA, IFRS, Treasury Regulations, GRAP, GAAP, Income Tax Act, and other statutory requirements.
7. Understanding of good governance, Internal and External Audit, Risk Management.
8. General awareness of broader political, economic, and social environments.
