Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the engineering department, guiding team members in their tasks and ensuring a high level of performance.
• Oversee the maintenance, repair, and operation of all machinery and equipment onboard the cruise ship, guaranteeing compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
• Monitor and maintain an inventory of spare parts and supplies to prevent shortages and ensure efficient operations.
• Develop and implement effective maintenance schedules and procedures to minimize downtime and optimize resource utilization.
• Conduct regular inspections and tests to identify and address potential issues before they become major problems.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless vessel operation, fostering a culture of cooperation and communication.
• Mentor and train junior engineers and crew members, empowering them to take on new challenges and responsibilities.
• Accurately record all maintenance and repair activities, providing valuable insights for future improvements.
• Stay informed about industry developments and advancements in technology to enhance efficiency and safety onboard the vessel.
