Job summary

A leading company is seeking a Senior Manager to oversee and strategically manage the state-owned property portfolio in Mahikeng. This role requires a Bachelor's Degree in Property Management and significant managerial experience in property management. The successful candidate will coordinate various property-related functions, ensuring compliance with government regulations and effective management of resources.

Qualifications

  • Five years’ relevant experience at a senior managerial level.
  • Extensive experience in immovable asset and property management.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation (GIAMA, North West Land Administration Act).

Job description

Salary: XXX-XXXX per annum (SL14), an All-inclusive remuneration package.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage state owned property portfolio, housing accommodation, and property payments.
  • Oversee, plan, and coordinate the strategic management of state-owned immovable property.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: National Senior Certificate plus a Bachelor’s Degree (NQF Level 7) in Property Management, Town & Regional Planning, Real Estate, Property Law, or Property Valuation.
  • Senior Management Pre-entry Programme (Nyukela Certificate).

Experience:

  • Five (5) years’ relevant experience at a senior managerial level.
  • Extensive experience in immovable asset and property management.

Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of the North West Land Administration Act, Government Immovable Asset Management Act (GIAMA), and related legislation.
  • Understanding of horticultural processes, cleaning and hygiene industry, integrated facilities management, occupational health and safety, public service regulations, procurement systems, treasury regulations, and information security standards.

Skills:

  • Change management, financial management, programme and project management.
  • Strategic leadership, change management, knowledge management, service delivery innovation, conflict resolution, research, and policy formulation.
  • Computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint), people management, report writing, planning, data collection, problem-solving, presentation, facilitation, analytical, interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure, willingness to travel, and work beyond normal hours.
