Job Title: Chief Chaplain, Chaplaincy Services

The City of Johannesburg seeks a highly experienced and ordained religious leader to serve as the Chief Chaplain for its Public Safety Department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage Employee Wellness and Chaplaincy Support Services through spiritual guidance, programs, counselling, and moral support.
  • Develop and deliver spiritual care programs for Public Safety Department employees and their families.
  • Lead a team in delivering chaplaincy objectives and guiding staff in policy implementation.
  • Maintain relationships with key stakeholders and manage administrative matters.
  • Monitor finances and assets within the Sub-Directorate.
Requirements:
  • Grade 12 / Matric Certificate at NQF level 4;
  • A Degree or Advanced Diploma in Theology or Religious Studies at NQF Level 7;
  • Ordained clergy person with 9 years of experience, including 4 years of managerial experience in Chaplaincy or Religious Higher Fraternity;
  • Valid Code EB driver's license;
  • 3 years post-ordination as a minister of religion, substantiated by an Ordination Certificate.
