Job Title: Chief Asset Management Officer

This role is responsible for the administration of leased assets within the Office of the Chief Justice South Africa.

The successful candidate will ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the leased asset register to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures related to leased assets.
• Address management assertions related to leased assets.
• Ensure compliance with Modified Cash Accounting Standards.
• Coordinate physical verification activities to validate the existence and condition of leased assets.
• Facilitate the disposal of assets across the Department in line with policy directives.
• Assist in resolving audit queries and ensure completeness and accuracy.
• Provide guidance on leased assets and disposal-related matters.

Requirements:

• A tertiary qualification in Financial Accounting, Internal Auditing, or Cost and Management Accounting at NQF level 6 with credits.
• A minimum of three years' experience in Asset Management at a supervisory level.
• A valid driver's license.
