Chief Asset Management Officer - Gauteng - Office Of The Chief Justice South Africa

The Chief Asset Management Officer will oversee the administration of leased assets within the Office of the Chief Justice South Africa.

This role requires a high degree of professionalism and attention to detail in ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the leased asset register accurately and completely.
• Develop and implement effective policies and procedures for leased assets.
• Address management assertions related to leased assets in a timely manner.
• Ensure adherence to Modified Cash Accounting Standards at all times.
• Coordinate physical verification activities to verify the existence and condition of leased assets.
• Facilitate the disposal of assets across the Department in accordance with policy directives.
• Assist in resolving audit queries and ensure completeness and accuracy.
• Provide guidance on leased assets and disposal-related matters as needed.

Requirements:

• A tertiary qualification in Financial Accounting, Internal Auditing, or Cost and Management Accounting at NQF level 6 with credits.
• A minimum of three years' experience in Asset Management at a supervisory level.
• A valid driver's license is required for this position.
