We are excited to share a fantastic opportunity for a Chief Accounting Officer at our client in the automotive industry. PURPOSE OF POSITION: The Head of Accounting will lead all day-to-day finance operations and supervise a team of staff members including functional responsibility over accounting, accounts payable, and financial reporting.

Job Description
The Head of Accounting will lead all finance operations, supervise staff, and ensure effective systems and procedures are in place for program implementation and audits.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Oversee accounting, monthly reporting, annual audits, and planning; coordinate external audits; administer financial plans and processes; contribute to budgeting; monitor financial status and report to senior leadership.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, regulatory requirements, and audit standards; lead financial projects and system improvements.
• Manage Accounts Payable, ensure timely supplier payments, monitor aging, and collaborate with Treasury on cash flow planning.
• Mentor and develop the accounting team, manage work allocation, training, and performance evaluations.
• Manage tax portfolios, ensure compliance with VAT, corporate income tax, transfer pricing, and customs duties.
• Oversee preparation of annual financial statements for the company and subsidiaries.
• Develop tools for financial and operational insights, and advise the CFO on strategy and operations.
• Ensure compliance with group policies and maintain good relationships with regional offices.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• Postgraduate degree in the same fields.
• CPA, CMA, or equivalent professional qualification.

• Financial management expertise, analytical skills, strong accounting knowledge (GAAP, IFRS), leadership, excellent communication, problem-solving, proficiency in SAP and ERP systems, attention to detail, and strategic planning abilities.

• At least 10 years in accounting, preferably in automotive industry.
• Experience in financial reporting, analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and team management.
• Knowledge of automotive industry-specific financial operations and compliance.
