Pedros Chicken is opening a brand-new store in Belgravia, Cape Town, and is looking for passionate individuals to join the team as a Chicken Prepper. This role focuses on delivering high-quality dine-in service and a positive customer experience from day one.

The Chicken Prepper will prepare, marinate, and bread chicken, while upholding strict hygiene standards and SOPs. You will support kitchen operations during peak periods and ensure temperature-safe storage.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food preparation or kitchen work is advantageous.
• Ability to follow recipes and standard operating procedures consistently.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to food safety.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, clean, cut, and portion chicken according to specifications.
• Marinate, season, and bread chicken following recipes.
• Maintain the highest standards of hygiene and food safety when handling raw chicken.
• Check chicken for freshness and quality before preparation.
• Rotate stock using FIFO to ensure freshness and reduce waste.
• Store raw chicken safely at correct temperatures.
• Keep prep area, tools, and equipment clean and organized.
