About the Role:

Chess Wizards is seeking enthusiastic chess tutors to join our after-school enrichment program. We are looking for individuals who can foster a love for chess, make the game fun, and help students develop valuable life skills.

  • Competitive Pay: $50 - $70 per hour and a half session
  • Flexible Hours: 1 to 5 classes per week, scheduled in the afternoon
  • Travel Compensation: Provided for trips over 12.5 miles
  • Requirements: Some chess ability; USCF rating is a plus; teaching/tutoring/camp counselor experience is a plus; positive attitude and ability to teach young learners
Responsibilities:
  • Teach interactive, friendly, and engaging classes with 10-15 children
  • Encourage connections between chess and real-life problem-solving
  • Promote good sportsmanship and be a positive role model
  • Utilize curriculum and materials effectively
  • Maintain punctuality and professionalism
  • Adhere to COVID-19 safety protocols

Location Requirements:

This position is based in Powder Springs, GA. Relocation assistance is not provided. Candidates must reside in the area or be willing to relocate at their own expense.
