Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Chemical Production Manager to lead our client's Paarl-based manufacturing operations. This executive role oversees all aspects of chemical production, driving quality, safety, efficiency, and cost targets while guiding production staff and continuous improvement initiatives.

The ideal candidate has a track record in chemical manufacturing leadership and a strong commitment to operational excellence in the Western Cape.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemical or related field is required.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in chemical production or manufacturing management.
• Experience with production planning software and ERP systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage all daily production activities to achieve output and quality goals.
• Develop and implement production schedules to optimize resources and minimize delays.
• Ensure adherence to safety, environmental standards, and quality control procedures.
• Lead and develop the production team to foster high performance.
• Manage production budget, control costs, and identify efficiency gains.
• Collaborate with supply chain, maintenance, and engineering for smooth operations.
• Drive continuous improvement using Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma.

Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in chemical production or manufacturing management.
• Proven track record in managing large production teams and complex chemical processes.
• Strong understanding of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and EHS regulations.
