Job summary

Sasol is seeking a Chemical Plant Operator (CPO) for Secunda Operations to coordinate and direct maintenance and repair services on a production line. The role requires control panel management, hands-on troubleshooting, and active safety governance.

With 3+ years of relevant experience, you will work in a team, contribute to DSP-based improvements, and participate in safety and training initiatives. Matric/N3 and a Chemical Operations qualification are essential.

Qualifications

• Matric/N3 with Maths, English and Physical Science is required.
• Chieta NQF Level 4 Chemical Operations certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and direct maintenance and repair services for a specific process within a production line.
• Manage control panel operations and perform complex troubleshooting.
• Provide feedback to supervisor on work progress and participate in risk assessments to improve safety.
• Maintain good housekeeping and adhere to waste disposal procedures.
• Participate in shift handover meetings and ensure plant safety during operations.
• Identify personal training needs and contribute to PDP with supervisor approval.
• Coach learners on the job and present on specific plant equipment.
