About the Role

Our client is seeking a talented and results-oriented Chemical Plant Engineer to join their remote team, supporting operations based out of Pretoria . This position focuses on providing remote technical support, optimizing plant performance, and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of chemical manufacturing facilities. You will work closely with on-site operations teams, using remote monitoring and diagnostic tools to identify and resolve issues, implement process improvements, and ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations. This is an ideal role for an experienced engineer who excels at remote problem-solving and virtual collaboration, contributing critical expertise without the need for daily on-site presence.

Key Responsibilities

Provide remote technical support for chemical plant operations, troubleshooting process upsets and equipment failures.
Monitor plant performance using remote data acquisition systems and identify opportunities for optimization.
Develop and implement procedures for preventative maintenance and equipment upgrades.
Conduct virtual process safety reviews and ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements.
