Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering; 6+ years of industrial chemical engineering experience.
• Strong focus on operational support and process optimization.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex chemical processes.
• Knowledge of chemical kinetics, thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, and heat/mass transfer.
• Experience with process simulation software is advantageous.
• Familiarity with health, safety and environmental regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert technical guidance and support to plant operations and maintenance teams.
• Analyze process data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.

• Conduct root cause analysis for process deviations and equipment failures, implementing corrective actions.

• Develop and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) and process documentation.
• Collaborate with other departments, including engineering, quality control, and R&D, on various initiatives.
• Participate in process hazard analyses (PHAs) and risk assessments.
• Train and mentor junior engineers and technical staff on process operations and best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering.
• A minimum of 6 years of experience in industrial chemical engineering, with a strong focus on operational support and process optimization.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex chemical processes and resolve operational issues.
• Solid understanding of chemical kinetics, thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, and heat/mass transfer.
• Experience with process simulation software is advantageous.
• Familiarity with industrial safety standards and environmental regulations.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively with diverse teams.
• Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation.
• Experience in the fertilizer, mining chemicals, or related heavy industry sectors is a plus.
