Qualifications

About the Role

Our client is looking for a meticulous Chemical Engineer specializing in safety and regulatory compliance to join their operations in Pretoria . This role is critical in ensuring that all chemical processes and facilities meet or exceed stringent industry safety standards and legal requirements. You will be responsible for conducting risk assessments, developing safety protocols, and overseeing compliance initiatives across multiple sites. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive Process Hazard Analyses (PHAs) , including HAZOP and LOPA studies.

• Investigate incidents, near misses, and accidents, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Develop and deliver safety training programs for operational and engineering staff.

Requirements

• Minimum 6 years of experience in industrial safety, process safety, or compliance roles.
