Salary : R12,000 per month | Live-In Position
Kendrick Recruitment is now seeking a skilled Chef de Partie for a prestigious 5-star private game reserve based in the Eastern Cape. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented culinary professional to join a high-end kitchen brigade and contribute to delivering exceptional guest dining experiences in a luxury safari setting.
Minimum Criteria Required :
Diploma or formal qualification in Culinary Arts
Completed commercial cookery apprenticeship or equivalent
Minimum of 3 years’ experience producing upmarket cuisine
Proven experience in a Chef de Partie role within a 5-star lodge or hotel environment
Current Food Handler Health Card or HACCP / Food Safety Certificate
Key Performance Areas :
Ability to produce a variety of authentic and innovative cuisines
Assist kitchen management in ensuring readiness for service before each shift
Remain current with industry standards, policies, and procedures
Proper care and handling of all kitchen equipment, tools, and machinery
Adhere to all standard operating procedures to ensure top-tier food quality for guests
Assist with maintaining accurate kitchen records
Ensure compliance with all food safety, health and safety, and security regulations in accordance with local legislation
Collaborate with other kitchen sections to ensure seamless service and consistently high standards of personalised guest service
Required Competencies :
Proficient in spoken and written English
Familiarity with GAAP POS and MS Excel
Solid understanding of food costing and waste control
Sober habits and strong attention to detail
Team-oriented with the ability to work under pressure
Valid driver’s licence preferred
Strong understanding of Food & Beverage service
