Chef de Partie – Luxury Restaurant | Johannesburg

Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a talented and motivated Chef de Partie to join a prestigious Luxury Restaurant based in Johannesburg. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled chef to advance their career in a high‑end culinary environment that values creativity, consistency, and excellence.

Salary

R8,000 – R9,000 per month (negotiable depending on experience)

Requirements
  • Previous experience as a Chef de Partie within a fine dining or luxury restaurant environment
  • Recognised culinary qualification or equivalent professional training
  • Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen operations
  • Excellent culinary skills with a passion for delivering dishes to the highest standard
  • Ability to manage a section independently and maintain consistency during busy service periods
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • High level of organisation, cleanliness, and attention to detail
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast‑paced environment
  • Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required
Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee a designated section of the kitchen, ensuring food preparation and service meet restaurant standards
  • Assist in the development and execution of new menu items
  • Maintain high levels of quality, presentation, and portion control
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and kitchen hygiene standards
  • Supervise and support junior kitchen staff where necessary
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef and Sous Chef to ensure smooth kitchen operations
  • Contribute to maintaining a positive, professional, and efficient working environment
