Checkout Assistant - Centurion

Responsibilities:

1. Ensure and maintain required standards when packaging purchased goods at point of sale.
2. Pack purchased goods into checkout bags and trolleys according to the required standard.
3. Use of detergents and cleaning materials/chemicals.
4. Display a sense of urgency in constantly striving to complete tasks in the shortest possible time.
5. Perform routine tasks at a constant high standard.
6. Develop self by constantly looking for opportunities to improve/grow self.
7. Be customer minded by seeing situations through the eyes of the customer and responding positively.
8. Exhibit excellent communication skills by listening attentively, responding appropriately and talking in a clear, understandable manner.
9. Able to work shifts to meet operational requirements.
10. Willing to be flexible and multi-skilled.
11. Physically demanding tasks.

Minimum Requirements:

1. Grade 12.
2. 2-3 years retail experience is an added advantage.
3. Ability to communicate in English.
4. Must be able to pass given assessments at the required level.
5. Must be successful in competency-based interviews.
6. Must be willing to give authorization for a full credit and criminal check.
7. Must have a valid South African ID (attach copy to application).
