Rectitude Recruit seeks an experienced accounting professional to oversee daily accounting operations under the Head Accountant. The role involves coordinating accounting staff to accurately record revenues, expenditures, assets, and liabilities for the company and related entities.

The incumbent will supervise staff, review payroll and VAT submissions, handle tax returns, and prepare management statements along with budgets and cash flow forecasts. Strong organizational skills are essential.

Responsabilidades

• Analysing trial balance accounts, identifying errors and raising journals.
• Balance sheet and nominal accounts reconciliations.
• Maintain an organised set of detailed records and files to document financial transactions.
• Resolves complex accounting issues.
• Prepare annual financial statements, audit files and ad hoc financial reports.
• Supervise, direct, and review the work of the accounting staff.
• Monthly Payroll review, oversight and submission of SARS returns.
• Monthly VAT review, oversight and submission of SARS returns.
• COIDA (Workmen’s Compensation Return of Earnings submissions).
• Calculations and completion of Provisional and Income Tax Returns, E-filing, and submitting supporting documents.
• Prepare, analysing, interpreting and presenting management statements.
• Compiling Budgets and Forecasts.
• Compiling and monitoring of cash flow.
• Other Admin or Financial duties as required

The candidate will be working under the direction of the Head accountant and coordinate the daily activities of the accounting staff to quickly and accurately record the revenues, expenditures, assets, and liabilities of the Company and other entities.

Duties & Responsibilities
