Job Title: Chartered Accountant/Finance Manager

Location: Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa

Job Description:
Hire Resolve is looking for a qualified and experienced Chartered Accountant/Finance Manager to join our client's hospitality team in Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the financial activities of our organization, managing financial planning and forecasting, budgeting, tax compliance, financial reporting, and auditing.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices
- Manage cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting to drive sustainable growth
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, balance sheets, and profit and loss statements
- Manage external audits and ensure compliance with tax regulations
- Provide financial analysis and recommendations to senior management for strategic decision-making
- Monitor financial performance and identify areas for improvement
- Collaborate with department heads to develop and manage departmental budgets
- Manage the finance team and develop their skills through coaching and training
- Oversee payroll processing, accounts payable, and accounts receivable functions

Requirements:
- Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification (Newly qualified are welcome to apply)
- At least 3-5 years of experience in a finance management role in the hospitality industry preferrably, but not required.
- Strong knowledge of financial principles and practices
- Proficiency in financial software and MS Excel
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Knowledge of South African tax laws and regulations

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with hotel management software is a plus but not required
- Experience managing multiple properties in a hotel group, bonus
