Job Title: Chartered Accountant/Finance Manager

Location: Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa

Job Description: Hire Resolve is looking for a qualified and experienced Chartered Accountant/Finance Manager to join our client's hospitality team in Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the financial activities of our organization, managing financial planning and forecasting, budgeting, tax compliance, financial reporting, and auditing.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices
  • Manage cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting to drive sustainable growth
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, balance sheets, and profit and loss statements
  • Manage external audits and ensure compliance with tax regulations
  • Provide financial analysis and recommendations to senior management for strategic decision-making
  • Monitor financial performance and identify areas for improvement
  • Collaborate with department heads to develop and manage departmental budgets
  • Manage the finance team and develop their skills through coaching and training
  • Oversee payroll processing, accounts payable, and accounts receivable functions
Requirements
  • Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification (Newly qualified are welcome to apply)
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in a finance management role in the hospitality industry preferably, but not required
  • Strong knowledge of financial principles and practices
  • Proficiency in financial software and MS Excel
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Knowledge of South African tax laws and regulations
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with hotel management software is a plus but not required
  • Experience managing multiple properties in a hotel group, bonus
