A dynamic finance team is searching for a Chartered Accountant to manage financial operations, including reporting, compliance, and strategic insights. The ideal candidate will be a qualified CA(SA) with a strong command of IFRS and advanced Excel skills. You will also assist in tax compliance and collaborate closely with senior management to drive business performance. This position requires a proactive approach in providing financial insights and a commitment to uphold high standards of financial integrity.
As the Chartered Accountant, you will be responsible for the full financial management function, including the preparation of accurate financial reports, budgeting and forecasting, statutory compliance, and audit readiness.You will oversee internal controls, ensure adherence to financial regulations, and provide strategic financial insights to support business performance and growth.In this role, you'll collaborate closely with senior management, offering data-driven recommendations to guide key business decisions.Your ability to analyse complex financial information, manage risk, and uphold high standards of financial integrity will be essential to the success of this position.Purpose of the position : Support the Reporting, Finance & Tax Function.Only qualified CAs should apply.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS : Qualified CA(SA)Minimum 1 year experience out of articles.Technically sound with IFRS.Experience in consolidations advantageous.Strong interest in tax and SARS experience advantageous.Good verbal and written communication skills in English.Clean criminal record.Advanced experience Microsoft Excel.Must ideally reside in the Johannesburg area or be willing to move, remote working is not an option.KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESSupport the finance department in assessing new IFRS standards, develop accounting policies and manuals to facilitate adherence to IFRS.Assisting in drafting of company financial statements in line with IFRS and Companies Act requirements.Analyse accounts upon request.Ensure all the journals are up to date and correct.Advise and assist with the necessary training in accounting, administration and computer usage.Assist other accounting staff, specifically at rush periods.Help the external auditors to complete a timeous audit.Carry out ad hoc projects and investigations as and when necessary.Group Reporting.Tax administration and compliance (Tax compliance, consulting and accounting).Other Ad hoc reporting duties.Send your CV to
