Job summary

Communicate Finance is seeking a strategic finance leader to partner with Directors, guiding financial direction and ensuring operational excellence across the finance function in South Africa’s Western Cape.

You will lead a high-performing team, drive budgeting and forecasting, deliver robust financial reporting, and ensure compliance with governance and regulatory standards. This is a hands-on yet strategic role aimed at sustaining growth and profitability.

Qualifications

  • CA(SA) with completed SAICA Articles.
  • Minimum 2 years post-articles experience.
  • Experience in a full-function finance environment.
  • Proven ability to engage with senior stakeholders and provide strategic financial insight.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with senior leadership to develop and execute financial strategies aligned to organisational objectives.
  • Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes.
  • Deliver insightful financial analysis and recommendations to enhance profitability and business performance.
  • Prepare and present accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Take full ownership of the accounting function, including general ledger management, reconciliations, month-end, and year-end reporting.
  • Oversee cash flow management, working capital optimisation, treasury functions, and cost-control initiatives.
  • Manage investment portfolios and property-related financial activities, including lease agreements.
  • Ensure payroll accuracy and ongoing compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Maintain compliance with taxation, audit, governance, and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team while supporting key stakeholders across the business.
