Job description

Services group are seeking a recently qualified Chartered Accountant support the finance team in delivering accurate financial reporting, compliance, and strategic financial input. This role is ideal for a newly qualified CA(SA) who is eager to apply their technical knowledge and grow within a dynamic and professional environment.

Key Responsibilities :

• Prepare and review monthly financial reports, including management accounts
• Assist in the preparation of annual financial statements in line with IFRS
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes
• Conduct variance analysis and identify trends for reporting to management
• Oversee general ledger reconciliations and balance sheet substantiation
• Monitor internal controls and assist in improving financial processes
• Assist with external audits and liaise with auditors as needed
• Ensure compliance with SARS, Companies Act, and other regulatory requirements
• Evaluate and implement financial systems and reporting tools
• Provide ad-hoc financial insights and support business decision-making

Minimum Requirements :

Education & Qualifications :

• Chartered Accountant – CA(SA) designation (recently qualified)
• Completed SAICA-accredited articles

Experience :

• 0–2 years post-articles experience
• Experience with financial reporting, audits, and compliance
• Familiarity with financial systems (e.g., Sage, SAP, CaseWare, Xero)

Technical Skills :

• Strong knowledge of IFRS and South African tax legislation
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Analytical thinking and financial modeling skills
• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proactive and self-motivated with strong problem-solving ability
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
• Ethical and professional conduct
