Frogg Recruitment in Cape Town is seeking a Chartered Accountant (CA SA) for Paarden Eiland to lead the company tax function and ensure accurate filing and compliance with SA tax laws.

The successful candidate will hold SAICA and CA(SA) qualifications with at least 2 years post-qualification experience in tax, ideally from retail, manufacturing, distribution, or logistics. You will liaise with SARS and external auditors, providing insights to leadership.

• Qualified Chartered Accountant with tax experience.
• Experienced with company tax affairs – proven experience.
• SAICA qualification completed and registered.
• Chartered Accountant qualification completed.
• At least 2 years’ relevant work experience as a CA(SA)

Responsabilidades

• Take ownership of directing and managing the organization’s overall tax function.
• Guarantee accurate preparation, filing, and reporting of all tax returns and statutory obligations.
• Ensure adherence to South African tax laws, standards, and regulatory frameworks.
• Deliver tax advisory services and identify strategies to optimize tax position and efficiency.
• Support broader financial operations including financial reporting, accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and analytics.
• Safeguard integrity of financial records and maintain internal controls.
• Liaise with SARS, external auditors, and key stakeholders.
• Provide leadership with actionable financial insights for commercial decisions.
• Proactively detect and mitigate tax, financial, and compliance risks.
• Execute ad-hoc finance and accounting tasks as needed.

• Ensure full alignment and adherence to South African tax laws, standards, and regulatory frameworks.
• Deliver expert tax advisory services while identifying strategies to optimize the company’s tax position and efficiency.
• Support broader financial operations, including financial reporting, general accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and analytical reviews.
• Safeguard the integrity of financial records and maintain robust internal financial controls.
• Serve as the primary liaison for the South African Revenue Service (SARS), external auditors, and key external stakeholders.
• Equip executive leadership with actionable financial insights and data-driven recommendations to guide commercial decisions.
• Proactively detect, evaluate, and mitigate financial, tax, and compliance-related risks.
• Execute additional ad-hoc finance and accounting tasks as operational needs dictate.
