Job summary

Rectitude Recruit is seeking a qualified Chartered Accountant (CA SA) for a senior accounting role in Bloemfontein. You will oversee treasury, tax compliance, financial statements, and supervision of staff.

The ideal candidate has 1+ year post articles experience, advanced Excel skills, and fluent English, with SAICA registration and strong tax regulation knowledge.

Qualifications

• Qualified CA(SA) registered with SAICA and non-negotiable.
• Minimum of 1 year post articles experience.
• Fluent in English.
• Advanced knowledge of Excel formulas including Pivot Tables.
• Sound knowledge of tax regulations.

Responsibilities

• Analyse trial balance accounts, identify errors and raise journals.
• Balance sheet and nominal accounts reconciliations.
• Maintain organised records to document financial transactions.
• Resolves complex accounting issues.
• Prepare annual financial statements, audit files and ad hoc reports.
• Supervise, direct and review the work of accounting staff.
• Monthly payroll review, SARS returns submission and oversight.
• Monthly VAT review, SARS returns submission and oversight.
• COIDA submissions (Workmen's Compensation Returns).
• Prepare and complete tax returns, e-filing, with supporting documents.
• Prepare, analyse and present management statements.
• Compile budgets and forecasts.
• Monitor cash flow.
• Assist Head accountant with duties as required.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Analysing trial balance accounts identifying errors and raising journals.
• Balance sheet and nominal accounts reconciliations.
• Maintain an organised set of detailed records and files to document financial transactions.
• Resolves complex accounting issues.
• Prepare annual financial statements, audit files and ad hoc financial reports.
• Supervise, direct, and review the work of the accounting staff.
• Monthly Payroll review, oversight and submission of SARS returns.
• Monthly VAT review, oversight and submission of SARS returns.
• COIDA (Workmen's Compensation Return of Earnings submissions).
• Calculations and Completion of Provisional and Income Tax Returns, E-filing Administration, submitting supporting documents.
• Prepare, analysing, interpreting & presenting of management statements.
• Compiling Budgets and Forecasts.
• Compiling and monitoring of cash flow.
• Other Admin or Financial duties as required.
• Assist Head accountant with any duties as required.

Experience & Qualification

• Qualified Chartered Accountant CA (SA) registered with SAICA- This is Not Negotiable.
• Minimum of 1 year post articles experience.
• Fluent in English.
