Qualifications

Job Description

Managing day-to-day operations of the Charity Shop

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Managing day-to-day operations of the Charity Shop including inventory and merchandising
  • Developing sales and donation strategies
  • Maintain accurate financial records and preparing reports
  • Being a key holder, opening and closing the shop, and ensuring security
  • Representing the charity in the local community and fostering strong relationships with donors, customers, and other stakeholders

Qualifications And Requirements

  • Previous experience in retail management, preferably in a charity shop or other non-profit setting
  • Self-sufficient and able to accomplish tasks with minimal supervision
  • Sound understanding of financial management and budgeting
  • Ability to develop and implement effective marketing and promotional strategies
  • A passion for the mission and values of the charity
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software, internet-based applications
  • Exceptional Written & Verbal Communication skills, bilingual in English & Afrikaans, another official language will be advantageous
  • Professional attitude and appearance
  • Non-Smoker
