Job description

The Channel Specialist (sometimes known as a digital marketing specialist in other businesses) leads programming of owned (redbull.com & redbull tv) and managed 3rd party (TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, etc.) channels, along with community management across them. They build on the organization’s business plan by creating and implementing cross-platform programming strategies to support the wider marketing mix.

They drive brand love via organic engagement with a large audience across metrics such as reach, engagements, frequency, and interaction duration. This involves ensuring redbull generates word of mouth with the right content on the right account/platform at the right time. Ultimately, this role requires industry knowledge across social, web, and emerging digital channels, with the ability to translate strategy into action by bringing stories to life, engaging audiences at scale, and providing ongoing value to peers within the organization.

Responsibilities
  • Define content programming priorities and create plans in collaboration with the Media Network and Marketing teams, informed by past performance and audience behavior insights.
  • Refine strategies for owned and managed channels, identify potential partner channels, and develop holistic programming and release plans.
  • Optimize channel performance through scheduling, featuring, functionalities, and consumer journey enhancements.
  • Brief content needs to the Content team to maximize performance and develop activation plans with Brand and Communications teams to extend reach.
  • Manage social media and community activities, program content for redbull.com and RedBull TV, and collaborate with the Creator Marketing team.
  • Possess editing skills to independently turn around content.
  • Require at least 3 years of digital media experience in channel or platform programming.
  • Experience in managing social media accounts and/or website programming is essential.
  • Deep understanding of digital consumer behavior and content engagement strategies.
  • Stay updated on online trends and drive online word of mouth.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to elevate digital knowledge organization-wide.
  • Knowledge of competitor activity and consumer insights in media and FMCG sectors.
  • Passion for the RedBull brand, its content, and values, with the ability to translate this into online brand engagement.
  • Extensive digital industry knowledge.
  • Analytical mindset with data-driven strategy development skills.
  • Hands-on approach, comfortable managing accounts when necessary.
  • Curious, creative, and open-minded attitude.
  • Leadership qualities, effective presentation, and motivational skills.
  • Problem-solving and conflict management abilities.
  • Willingness to travel 20-30%.
