A leading beverage company is seeking a Channel Specialist in Cape Town to lead programming for owned and managed channels. The role involves creating strategies, managing social media, and driving brand engagement. Candidates should have at least 3 years of experience in digital media and a passion for the brand. Willingness to travel is required.
The Channel Specialist (sometimes known as a digital marketing specialist in other businesses) leads programming of owned (redbull.com & redbull tv) and managed 3rd party (TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, etc.) channels, along with community management across them. They build on the organization’s business plan by creating and implementing cross-platform programming strategies to support the wider marketing mix.
They drive brand love via organic engagement with a large audience across metrics such as reach, engagements, frequency, and interaction duration. This involves ensuring redbull generates word of mouth with the right content on the right account/platform at the right time. Ultimately, this role requires industry knowledge across social, web, and emerging digital channels, with the ability to translate strategy into action by bringing stories to life, engaging audiences at scale, and providing ongoing value to peers within the organization.
