Location : Remote with international travel to key events

Our client is a well-established, international software company which has been operating since 2009. They provide innovative, reliable solutions which help businesses to optimize operations, increase their efficiency, and grow sustainably. Their software products are trusted across multiple sectors and they pride themselves on their long-term relationships, strong support and continuous innovation. This is a role for a successful Channel Sales Executive to grow their US and Australian footprint, travelling to Europe and the US to attend key events when required. They also offer opportunities for future growth into regional or leadership sales roles!

POSITION INFO : Job Summary

They are looking for a proactive, results-oriented Sales / Channel Executive who will be based in South Africa to lead outbound sales via their channel partners or direct, deliver engaging product demos, build and qualify leads and close deals. The ideal candidate will also actively participate in company events and exhibitions, representing the brand at their booths to strengthen relationships with current customers / partners and attract new ones. This role requires a go-getter with sales excellence and strong account management skills. They offer full training on their software products and value propositions and have a supportive and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead generation : build and maintain targeted lead lists from partners and new prospects.
  • Initiate outbound contact via email, calls, LinkedIn, and direct approaches and qualify prospects and schedule tailored sales interactions or product demos.
  • Product demonstrations and address technical or business-related questions confidently.
  • Customer engagement & needs discovery by conducting discovery conversations to understand client goals and challenges
  • Document customer needs and feedback for internal alignment and customization and nurture long-term relationships with key stakeholders and partners.
  • Event & Booth participation : represent the company at international industry events, exhibitions, and conferences and engage with current customers to strengthen trust and identify new needs.
  • Actively attract new prospects at booths, capturing leads and scheduling follow-ups and support preparation and for event participation.
  • Sales pipeline & deal closure and manage sales funnel from first contact to final negotiation and signature.
  • Send proposals, negotiate pricing, and close deals independently and maintain clear records and updates in CRM systems.
  • Relationship management : maintain consistent follow-up habits to move prospects through the sales funnel.
  • Coordinate with onboarding / support to ensure smooth post-sale transitions and identify upselling, renewal and referral opportunities.

Requirements :

  • 4-5+ years of experience in B2B software sales and have a proven track record in channel and new business sales
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, articulate and fluent in English.
  • Skilled in presenting solutions both virtually and face-to-face with experience with CRM tools like HubSpot, Salesforce, or Pipedrive.
  • Able to work independently with accountability in a remote-first environment and have a willingness to travel abroad for company events
